My contributions

  • Designed the core gameplay loop (explore, record, survive, upload, earn) and the structure of each night.
  • Built the diegetic HUD: a period-accurate night clock, camera timestamp, objective tracker and recording overlay.
  • Implemented the camera and recording system, including clip saving and contextual tutorial prompts.
  • Designed and implemented threat feedback, including camera shake and the downed state when a player is caught.
  • Diagnosed and resolved multiplayer issues surfaced during team playtests.
  • Planned sprints and milestones in Jira and documented systems in Confluence.

Overview

A first-person co-op horror game for one to four players, set in an abandoned family arcade in 2008. Players document paranormal activity on camera, survive the night and upload their footage. Recording is what draws the threat, so every shot is a risk-reward decision.

As Lead Game Designer and Gameplay Programmer, I owned the core loop and its supporting systems, implemented them in Blueprint and C++, and helped lead sprint planning.
